I’m Lindsay, a Creative who really dislikes boxes. I’m a writer predominantly (check out my About page), but I am always picking up and trying other creative outlets. After all, creative expression doesn’t have to take on only one form, and in a world of intensified niches I feel myself pushing against the walls. I don’t fit neat and tidy into a box as a person, so why would my art do so?
I’ve had the idea for Prompted Fiction for many years now, but if there is one thing I have learned in my nearly four decades on this planet, it’s that life is unpredictable and you have to roll with the waves. It took me a lot longer to get to the point where this website exists and while Blogging might not be as popular as it once was, well, again see above about boxes.
What You Can Expect
I’m playing with a few different ideas, but here you will find essays, short stories, poetry, flash fiction and other creative pieces. I’m hoping to get a newsletter going shortly and intend to put it out bi-weekly, because I love me some Bi things. I know, terrible pun, and fully intended.
I hope you find something enjoyable here and I invite you on this journey of finding the words to express the fullness of who we are and our experiences.
